Hypnosis Myths and Misconceptions

Listen to Liza Boubari explain hypnosis myths and misconceptions. Learn how hypnotherapy can be beneficial for you.

What is hypnosis?

Hypnosis focuses attention, reduces peripheral awareness, with an enhanced capacity to respond to suggestions.

What is hypnotherapy used for?

Hypnotherapy is a tool to unlock human potential, not a magic formula. Hypnosis can address both negative habits and associated problems. Still, these issues can be complex and challenging both for the client and the therapist. Hypnotherapy works for all willing, open, and ready to HealWithin and begin their transformation for the better.

Can Hypnosis Make Me Do Things I Don’t Want to Do?

The simple answer is No – Absolutely not. This is probably the biggest myth of all. You can’t be made to do anything you don’t want to do in hypnosis. In hypnosis, you retain power over your ability to act upon suggestions. However, if you allow yourself to act upon a suggestion, you may feel that the effects are happening by themselves.

You will never do anything or accept any suggestion that violates your morals or values. If that were possible, all the hypnotists in the world could make you rob banks and bring them the money. We would be rich and rule the world. Obviously, this is not the case!

  1. Unquestionably believe that which you said. You managed to hit the nail upon the top and defined out the whole thing without having side effects, people could take a signal. Will likely be back to get more. Thanks!

    Keep up the good work!

  2. Very good information. Lucky me I recently found your blog by chance

  3. Looking at this article reminds me of my previous roommate!
He talked about possibly getting therapy. I will forward this information to him. Many thanks for sharing!
