The New Year often arrives with an air of expectation—a clean slate and the pressure to make grand resolutions. But how many of those resolutions truly stick? Instead of rigid goals that can sometimes lead to frustration, consider the power of intentions.

Unlike resolutions, which are typically about achieving specific outcomes, intentions focus on how you want to feel and who you want to be. For example, rather than resolving to “lose 10 pounds,” set an intention to “nurture my body with movement and mindful eating.” This shift allows for flexibility and self-compassion, which are key to sustaining long-term change.
